Pair of mid‑century modern bedside tables from Lombardia, Italy, dating to 1950–1960, with glass tops and a chevron wood inlay, in good vintage condition with minor signs of age, each measuring 62 × 32 × 56 cm and weighing 22 kg.
Description from the seller
Elegant pair of bedside tables in fine cabinetmaking, dating from the mid-20th century. These pieces perfectly embody the refined taste of the Art Deco/Neoclassical style, characterized by majestic woodwork and details that convey luxury and solidity.
The distinctive element is the chevron front inlay in walnut or cherry wood, creating a geometric play of natural, hypnotic grain. The line is enhanced by a slight forward bulge that gives the design dynamism.
Details of Distinction
• Glass top: Each nightstand is finished with a glass top, elegant and durable.
• Inlay and fillet work: inlaid frames along the edges and small stylized floral decorations on the upper corners.
• Original hardware: Patinated bronze/brass ring handles, perfectly preserved.
• Spindle legs: feet turned to a tapered shape with brass terminals (tips), which elongate the silhouette and make cleaning easier.
Condition
The furniture is in good vintage condition with some signs of aging. The original finish has been carefully preserved; it shows only very slight signs of wear that attest to its authenticity and do not compromise its beauty. Solid construction and doors are perfectly functioning.
