Magnificent original five-color lithograph by Jean Lurçat (1892-1966), the undisputed master of printmaking and modern tapestry.
Titre : "Le Guerrier Noir" – Composition abstraite puissante et symbolique : forme sombre centrale traversée d'une lance, entourée de taches organiques explosives en vert/bleu, jaune/orange vif et rouge feu. Style poétique typique des années 1960.
Technique: Original lithography (direct print, not a reproduction).
Edition: Limited to 150 copies, hand-numbered 64/150.
Signature: Signed in pencil "Lurçat" at the bottom right.
Provenance: Edition L'Oeuvre Gravée (Zurich), 1960-1961. Original label on the back + embossed dry stamp "L'Œuvre Gravée" + handwritten inscription Jacomette No. 26 (Nesto Jacomette, key publisher of Lurçat). Internal reference No. Ab/290.
Dimensions: Sheet ≈ 51 × 60 cm (full margins).
Original condition with traces of old mounting in the margin, not affecting the motif. Colors perfectly preserved, paper sound. Unframed.
