Bert Stern Family Collection is made up of prints the artist gave to his family during his lifetime. Comprised of Artist proofs, special editions and unique prints, this collection upholds the integrity and legacy of the visionary photographer.
" Famous Marilyn Monroe nude with the Scar Collection of Serigraphs" is signed in red pencil on the recto and copyright stamped and signed on the verso by the artist. The edition in number15/100 with an image size of 18 x 12 on Heavy Matte Archival photo paper measuring 19 x 13.
Bert worked and created many silk screens in the late 60's, early 70's. Later Bert published the Serigraph books of various colors of his images. He chose these 4 unique images and cut them out of many books that he found were the most beautiful and colorful and unique. Then he pasted them on a board and photographed them and printed a photo..
Bert worked on his own negatives, cleaned them and enhanced his images, creating brilliant vibrant photos you see today. He printed using several inks dyed into the archival photo paper, he called them Pigment Prints, guaranteed not to fade for 100 years.
We ship with the outmost care, double hard cardboard, protective sleeve, and waterproof folder and cornered securely. We use fedex, most reliable and steadfast.
