Noh mask - Wood - Jido慈童

High quality Japanese traditional hand carved wooden Noh mask - Jido慈童, finely carved with meticulous details, made in 1986 by Wakino脇野.

This is a mask of a young boy. He became a hermit by drinking dew, and is said to be an incarnation of a god, symbolizing eternal youth to this day.
It has a certain elegance and a sense of fairy-like mysticism.
It is essentially the same mask as the child mask.
Mask features: There are no teeth on the lower lip. The corners of the eyes are slightly upturned.
The eyebrows are crescent-shaped, and in some cases the bangs reach down to the eyebrows.
