Description from the seller
Title: Balance of the Seasons
Oil on canvas in a panoramic format, the work presents itself as an essential and suspended vision, where the landscape is reduced to a few primary elements, charged with chromatic force and symbolic value. The composition is marked by wide horizontal bands that cross the surface with a calm and measured rhythm: in the foreground dominates an intense red field, vibrant and tactile, built through a rich painterly texture, punctuated by lighter touches that suggest the vitality of the cultivated earth.
In the center, an ochre-orange hill stretches gently, creating a warm and luminous counterpoint to the red beneath. On this intermediate plane, small rounded trees emerge, isolated and spaced apart, rendered with dense green brushstrokes that emphasize their silent presence. The elongated, barely hinted shadows add depth and a sense of time, as if the landscape were captured at a precise moment of the day.
At the top, an intensely blue, crystal-clear sky closes the composition, crossed by light, diffuse clouds that soften the horizon. At the summit of the hill, a small solitary house, white with a red roof, becomes the narrative focal point of the work: a minimal yet eloquent sign, a symbol of discreet and harmonious human presence, perfectly integrated into the landscape.
The work conveys a sense of balance, quiet, and lyrical abstraction. Roberto Mauri's pictorial language moves between figuration and chromatic synthesis, evoking a timeless landscape, more mental than real, where color and space dialogue in a contemplative and poetic dimension.
