Unique and rare!
The TI Silent 700 was one of the most popular portable data computer terminals / acoustic modems / teleprinters / teletypewriters / fax machines in the 1970s. It was a compact travel companion and a standalone data terminal, known for its thermal printing technology, which enabled silent operation.
People used this modem to communicate with time-sharing computers at home and on the road. It had a maximum speed of 300 bits per second and included a thermal fax printer to record sessions.
