Dit is een antieke koperen doofpot, een antiek stuk haardgereedschap van rond 1800
Functie: Het werd gebruikt om smeulende stukken hout, turf of kolen luchtdicht in te sluiten, waardoor ze doofden en later opnieuw gebruikt konden worden. 
Materiaal en ontwerp: De pot is  gemaakt van koper en staat op drie sierlijke pootjes. 
Kenmerken: Het item bevat een deksel en handvaten, van porselein. 
Het geheel is in redelijke staat met gebruikerssporen passend bij de leeftijd en gebruik en heeft in het verleden restauraties gehad. Het porselein heeft wat schade.
