Captured in the serene forest of Huskvarna, Sweden, "Be Bold! You are beautiful!" is a vibrant celebration of the strength found in nature's smallest details. Focusing on moss sporophytes adorned with raindrops, the work manifests that significance is not defined by size; even the most minute elements of the natural world hold remarkable resilience and an essential place within the tapestry of life.


THE CONTEXT:  

Growing up in the Arctic, the artist developed a profound respect for the delicate balance of ecosystems where survival depends on sensitivity to the environment. This background shapes her collection "SAGOSKOGEN" (Fairy Tale Forest), which translates the mystical narratives of the Swedish woods into a visual language of wonder. Through her macro photography, Etuvgi invites viewers to shift from a human-centered worldview to one that appreciates the quiet strength and enchanting beauty of often-overlooked beings like mosses and lichens.


EDITION:

This work is presented in a Special Collector’s Configuration (28x39 cm image on 30.5x43 cm paper). While the artist’s larger-scale editions are represented in premier online galleries, this specific size is part of a curated series designed to make museum-grade photography accessible for versatile interior spaces.

ABOUT THE ARTIST

Inna Etuvgi is a Swedish-Chukchi artist whose work defines the concept of Cybernetic Animism—a bridge between indigenous Arctic intuition and technical precision. Raised in a remote village in Chukotka and trained in technical cybernetics, Etuvgi explores the shared "soul" of natural ecosystems and digital algorithms.

Living with Aphantasia—the inability to visualize mental images—Etuvgi uses her camera and Generative AI as a "visual prosthesis" to externalize deep emotional landscapes. Her macro photography magnifies nature’s smallest details, urging a shift from a human-centered worldview to one of interconnectedness.

Internationally recognized as an Arte Laguna Prize finalist (Venice) and a recipient of the Swedish Arts Grants Committee grant, Etuvgi’s work is held in private collections worldwide. As art critic Tabish Khan notes: “Her work transports us to other worlds—both real and imaginary, but always in harmony with nature.”
