Description from the seller

"NEOLITHIC FISH II" #152
Mixed media on canvas.
40 x 30 x 3'5 cm
Work from the collection “Neolithic Fish,” which engages with ancestral memory from a contemporary perspective. In these pieces I develop a language that connects the primitive with the neo-expressionist, reinterpreting rock iconography through symbolic marine creatures. Each fish is not just a figure, but a water totem: alert gaze, defined gesture, and contoured tension.
The mixed media allows me to work in layers, textures, and contrasts that evoke surfaces eroded by time, as if these images had been rescued from a submarine cave. The warm tones —ochres, reds, and oranges— reinforce the sense of origin, fire, and territory.
This collection speaks of identity, instinct, and permanence. They are fish that do not swim: they observe. They guard a visual legacy that unites past and present in a single stroke.
Unique and Original Work.
Each painting is a unique creation, sent directly from my studio. I use high-quality acrylics and oils and innovative mixed media techniques, including dripping, waxes, acrylic markers, pens, rollers, brushes, and spatulas. This combination allows me to achieve distinctive lines and textures that bring my works to life.
To facilitate framing, each canvas includes an additional 5-centimeter margin on all sides. The edges are painted with a wrap-around finish, allowing the work to be appreciated in its entirety, whether framed with a floating box or unframed. To ensure durability and protect colors from UV rays, each painting receives a satin, high-quality varnish coating.

Images are illustrative and may not represent the exact scale of the work, so please carefully review the real dimensions indicated.
Also, the colors shown on screen may differ slightly from the original tones of the work; in person it always looks better.

Safe Shipping and Certificate of Authenticity
The paintings are carefully shipped rolled, in secure packaging, to facilitate transportation. Each shipment includes a printed certificate of authenticity, signed by me, Onofre Alarcón (O.A.), certifying the exclusivity and originality of the work.

About me:
"I am a self-taught Spanish visual artist, based in Alicante, driven by an unwavering passion for creative freedom and spontaneous expression. My creative process thrives in a relaxed and stimulating environment, where chill-out music accompanies me, allowing me to channel my energy and give my best with every brushstroke. I feel especially drawn to the expressionist style, where emotion and subjectivity take center stage. Proximity to the Mediterranean has deeply influenced my work, guiding me to capture the beauty and strength of the sea on numerous canvases. Additionally, rock art is a constant source of inspiration, and its primitive and essential lines are often reflected in my creations. I consider myself an artist in constant evolution, exploring new techniques and styles, with vast creative potential. Each work is another step in my artistic journey, driving me to reach new goals."
