Vintage Serjac Atomic Mid-Century Wall-Mounted Coat Rack.

A stylish and iconic "Atomic" style folding coat rack, manufactured by the French company Serjac attributed to the 1950s/1960s. This space-saving design is a classic example of Mid-Century Modern functional art, featuring a fan-like mechanism that allows the hooks to be spread out or folded neatly against the wall.
The rack consists of five chrome-plated steel rods, each topped with a cream-colored Bakelite ball finial. The base and mounting brackets are made of robust metal, designed to be screwed directly into a wall or onto a wooden backboard.

Design Features
• Articulated Movement: The five arms can be adjusted from a tight vertical bundle to a wide horizontal fan shape, adapting to the available space and the number of items being hung.
• Space-Saving: Ideal for narrow hallways or small entryways where a traditional standing rack would be too bulky.
• Aesthetic: The "sputnik" or "ball-end" look is highly sought after by collectors of 1950s French and European design.
