These are two pillars of the history of creative software: Macromedia FreeHand 10 and FreeHand MX.

What is Macromedia FreeHand?
FreeHand was for years the main rival of Adobe Illustrator. Much loved by designers for its smooth handling of multi-page layouts and its speed.

- FreeHand 10 (2001): It was the 'transition' version, the first to run natively on Mac OS X (as clearly indicated by the 'X' logo on the box).

- FreeHand MX (2003): It is the last version ever produced. After this release, Adobe acquired Macromedia in 2005 and decided to discontinue FreeHand development in favor of Illustrator, triggering a real "uproar" among the most devoted fans.

For anyone wanting a dip into the recent past, but prehistoric as far as vector graphics go.
