Description from the seller

A Japanese handcrafted copper mirror, carved with Pine and crane Waraku

Edo period/antiques/mirror/Japanese mirror/antique mirror/Fujiwara Masashige

Works by Fujiwara Masashige are collected in the Tokyo National Museum
https://webarchives.tnm.jp/imgsearch/show/C0057873

*鶴 *Cranes are a symbol of longevity, as in the saying, ``A crane is a thousand years, a turtle is a million years.''
Because the crane couple is close, they are called ``Meotozuru'' (couple crane).
Perfect for weddings and other special occasions!
The red-crowned crane is a symbol of longevity and marital harmony, which is said to last a lifetime.
This is a representative work of celebration painting featuring the rising sun, the source of life, the auspicious pine, bamboo, and plum blossoms, and the Manju turtle, the symbol of longevity.
...and the pine and crane are double auspicious symbols.
