Description from the seller
Antique Japanese wooden tray with compartments from the late 19th century (or early 1900s), originally used as a functional container to sort and store various small items, and today popular as vintage furniture pieces or wall display units. These pieces date from the period between 1890 and 1919, of Japanese origin, and are characterized by a minimalist, vintage style, made from solid wood (Japanese cedar) and may show signs of natural wear such as scratches or patina that enhance their antique appearance. The grid structure is ideal for presenting and displaying small vases, miniatures, ceramics, collectibles, but also as a tray for glasses. In addition to these uses, these trays can also be wall-mounted to become sculptural compartmental shelves. The tray is completely original, with patina, and has not undergone any invasive restoration, but only maintenance and proper conservation, cleaned and waxed with a natural beeswax finish."} } }#?{?
