Description from the seller
Hagi Ware Miniature Vase Set – Yamato Shōgan Kiln – With Original Wooden Box & Leaflet – Japanese Traditional Craft
This is a refined pair of miniature vases from Yamato Shōgan Kiln (大和松雁窯), a respected Hagi ware kiln.
Hagi ware is celebrated for its soft clay texture, natural glaze variations, and fine crackle (kannyū) that develops beautifully over time. These two small vases embody the quiet elegance and warmth characteristic of traditional Hagi ceramics.
The left vase features delicate carved geometric band motifs, while the right vase displays subtle botanical patterns. Both pieces are finished in a soft ivory-beige glaze with natural firing tones and gentle crackle, giving them a refined wabi-sabi aesthetic.
Despite their compact size, they possess remarkable presence and craftsmanship. They are ideal as:
• Small bud vases
• Tea room decorative objects
• Minimalist interior accents
• Collectible Japanese studio ceramics
The set comes with its original wooden box (tomobako) and leaflet, confirming authenticity and kiln origin.
A beautifully balanced and elegant pair representing Japanese Traditional Craft, suitable for collectors and lovers of refined ceramic art.
