Lev Kari - Figure - Lev Kari figure - Teak

Rare beautiful hand-carved animal sculpture in solid teak, designed by Danish artist Lev Kari. This charming and minimalist figure is a fine example of Scandinavian mid-century design, characterized by its soft organic lines and warm teak wood grain. The piece is signed "Lev Kari Denmark" on the base. Likely produced in Denmark in the 1960s–1970s, and highly collectible among lovers of Danish modern design and wooden animal figures. The sculpture has a lovely patina and remains in good vintage condition with only minor signs of age and use. The sculpture is in good vintage condition with light signs of age and use. There is a very minor wear to the tip of the nose and one ear, consistent with age, which does not detract from the overall appearance. Lev Kari was a Danish designer known for his handcrafted wooden animal figures, primarily produced in the mid-20th century. His work reflects the Scandinavian modern design tradition, with a focus on simplicity, organic shapes, and the natural beauty of wood. His pieces were typically made in teak or rosewood and often signed “Lev Kari Denmark.” Many of his designs date from the 1950s to 1970s and are today appreciated as charming examples of Danish mid-century decorative art. Although less widely documented than some of his contemporaries, Lev Kari’s work shares the same aesthetic principles as other Danish designers of the period, emphasizing craftsmanship, minimalism, and timeless design. Will be packed very carefully and with track and trace number
