Rarest Persol Ratti Years ’60 - Supreme Arrow (Long) - Meflecto Blue First Series - Original Tinted Yellow Lenses
A museum piece of excellence and Italian design from the 1960s.
I offer for sale an authentic Holy Grail for vintage eyewear collectors: a very rare Persol Ratti frame dating from the early 1960s, in extraordinary preserved condition.
This is not a common commercial model, but contains all the “Sacred Relics” of the historic Turin-based manufacturing house of Giuseppe Ratti, unattainable in later models:

THE DETAILS THAT MAKE IT UNIQUE:
• The Supreme Arrow (Long Arrow): The very first and most coveted design of the Persol hinge. A stylized silver arrow elongated into a sword shape that runs along the entire temple. An aesthetic detail of the highest jewel-making quality, reserved only for the oldest models.
• Meflecto System “Blue Cylinders”: The very first iteration of the famous flexible system patented. Instead of the common steel cylinders, this model mounts the elusive blue/celeste acetate cylinders.
• Guide / Fog Yellow Lenses (Original): It houses its original tempered yellow crystal lenses, used in the era for sports driving or fog. On the lens the rare round “Persol Ratti” logo is clearly engraved, a guaranteed sign of originality and absence of modern substitutions.
• Historic Markings: On the inside of the right temple are the ancient cursive engravings “brevett.” and “RATTI” enclosed in the classic oval.

CONDITIONS:
Extraordinary for eyewear over 60 years old.
The dark Havana-colored acetate is still brilliantly polished and hydrated, with no signs of opacification (bloom). The metal hinges are solid and free from the typical green oxidation. The lenses are in excellent condition.
