Vincent Decat est un artiste-designer basé à Paris, diplômé de la Design Academy d’Eindhoven, qui explore les frontières entre design et sculpture. Il envisage la durabilité d’un objet non pas seulement à travers ses matériaux, mais avant tout à travers le lien émotionnel qu’il suscite. En rendant ses objets presque vivants, ils deviennent des compagnons dont il faut prendre soin, garder et chérir.

Aorta est une chaise qui éveille les sens.
Les veines qui la traversent et l’enveloppent invitent au toucher et à l’interaction. Ce réseau de vaisseaux, qui parcourt toute la structure et en ressort, rend la pièce vivante et amène le contact avec l’objet.
Elle est composée d’une armature métallique recouverte d’argile et de plâtre.

La pièce est fonctionnelle et dotée d’une assise haute.
Elle présente volontairement des craquelures, témoignant de son façonnage artisanal.
