Vintage Deense set teakhouten design peper en zoutmolen – Arne Hovmand-Olsen (A.H.) – teak – jaren 50/60

Deense mid-century peper & zoutmolen, toegeschreven aan Arne Hovmand-Olsen, met een sterk sculpturaal karakter.

Een krachtig en sculpturaal voorbeeld van Deens mid-century design: deze molens zijn uitgevoerd in warm teak, ze worden toegeschreven aan de Deense ontwerper Arne Hovmand-Olsen en belichamen perfect de organische vormentaal waar Scandinavië wereldwijd om geroemd wordt.

De molens zijn opgebouwd uit vloeiend gestapelde volumes – een bijna architectonische compositie van afgeronde vormen – waardoor het object niet alleen functioneel is, maar ook als autonoom designobject overtuigt. Dit type ontwerp ligt in lijn met het Deense modernisme van de jaren ‘50 en ‘60, waarin ambacht, materiaal en vorm in perfecte balans samenkomen.

De onderzijde is voorzien van een metalen plaat met inscriptie:
“PAT. NO. 118916 – MADE IN DENMARK – A.H.”, wat de Deense herkomst en periode bevestigt. Het maalwerk is degelijk uitgevoerd en kenmerkend voor kwalitatieve Scandinavische productie uit die tijd.

De warme houttekening en subtiele patina geven het stuk een authentieke uitstraling, passend bij zijn leeftijd en gebruik.

Een zeldzaam en karaktervol object dat zowel in een modern interieur als binnen een designcollectie uitstekend tot zijn recht komt.
