Lorenzo Maria Bottari was born in Palermo in 1949 and lives and works in Milan.
He began his activity as a painter - which over time he would pair with poetry, becoming a friend of Alda Merini - in Florence in 1968. In the following years he traveled a lot and had contacts and forged friendships with eminent names such as Keith Haring, Corrado Cagli, Renato Guttuso, Ibrahim Kodra, Wilfredo Lam.

In this work, whose title is taken from that of a famous essay by Sigmund Freud, the strong colors typical of this artist can be found.
