Statue en bois Cimier Tiwara – Mali

Cette statue cimier Tiwara en bois, issue de l’ethnie Bambara du Mali, représente un élément majeur de l’héritage culturel et spirituel de ce peuple d’Afrique de l’Ouest. Le Tiwara, souvent représenté sous la forme d’une antilope stylisée, est associé aux mythes fondateurs Bambara et aux pratiques agricoles. Il symbolise le travail de la terre, la fertilité et l’harmonie entre l’homme et la nature. Sculpté avec des formes élancées et équilibrées, le cimier est porté lors de danses rituelles qui accompagnent les cérémonies agricoles et initiatiques. L’objet incarne ainsi une forte dimension symbolique, où l’art est indissociable des croyances, des rites et de la transmission des valeurs au sein de l’ethnie.
