Prachtige Gesneden Ashanti kruk (Dwa)

Dit ceremoniele object is vervaardigd uit één enkel blok massief hout, een kenmerkende techniek van de Ashanti meestersnijders. De kruk heeft de traditionele gebogen zitting, die volgens de Ashanti cultuur de ziel van de eigenaar herbergt. 

Kenmerken:
Herkomst: Ashanti regio, ghana, Afrika.
Ontwerp: Een centraal steunpunt met verfijnde geometrische uitsnijdingen, geflankeerd door trapsgewijze.
Symboliek: In de Ashanti traditie staat de kruk symbool voor status, autoriteit en spirituele verbondenheid. Wanneer de kruk niet in gebruik was, werd hij vaak op zijn kant gelegd om te voorkomen dat dwalende erop zouden gaan zitten.
Materiaal: Massief inheems hardhout met een warme, natuurlijke patina.
