Jan Toorop (1858-1928) - De Pelgrim

A lithograph of the real deal by the artist Jan Toorop (1858–1928), born in Purworejo on Java. At about 14 years old he arrived in the Netherlands; in Leiden he worked in many Dutch towns, including Winterswijk, Domburg, Katwijk aan Zee, Nijmegen, and many more places. He also worked in Belgium and France. Toorop is regarded as a brilliant artist, also very well known abroad. Toorop was a versatile artist and is collected after 100 years by young and old. This lithograph and its frame are in perfect condition. Toorop himself considered this one of his finest works.
