Half-length figure; in front, the crescent moon, and to the sides, six seraphim. The colors of the tunic and cloak, the loose hair, the hands crossed over the chest, and the elevated, devout gaze indicate that we are in the presence of the Virgin, and the crescent moon assures us that we are before the Immaculate Conception, which in full-length versions is always depicted at her feet.
