Corneille, Hond en vrouw, a 2002 lithograph in Cobra style, hand-signed and an original edition, framed with dimensions 51 × 41 cm (unframed 36 × 26 cm).
Description from the seller
A lithograph by Corneille from 2002 featuring a nude woman and a dog is executed in his characteristic CoBrA style: bright colors, simple shapes and black contour lines. The work emphasizes freedom, sensuality and the instinctive, themes that Corneille continued to explore in his later work.
Corneille (1922–2010) was co-founder of the CoBrA movement and an important innovator within postwar art. His work evolved from abstract to figurative, with recurring themes such as birds, women and flowers. This colorful screen print is a fine example of his later style.
Dimensions with frame: 51 x 41 cm
Dimensions without frame: 36 x 26 cm
Framed work.
Viewing possible. We have our own framing workshop (85th anniversary) and work with recognized restorers (Restauratoren Nederland). Feel free to contact us via our website.
