Old and original Japanese cast-iron lantern, from the second half of the 20th century (Showa or Heisei period).

Japanese cast-iron lanterns are often found in Japanese gardens, standing or hanging. They immediately give an Eastern atmosphere to the garden.

Made in Japan (not a Chinese reproduction).

There are several types of these lanterns in Japan. This model is called Sankyaku Tsuridoro.

It can be placed outdoors in the garden without issue. Over time it will develop a beautiful, natural rust patina.

Featuring a small door to place a candle or tea light. Completely made of cast iron, very nice for indoor or outdoor decoration.
