A high-quality 19th-century French silver sugar sifter spoon (saupoudreuse). The circular, scalloped bowl is exquisitely hand-pierced with an intricate openwork pattern of scrolling foliage and geometric shapes.

The handle features a sophisticated Louis XVI style design. The front of the terminal is decorated with a fine engine-turned (guilloché) background, centered by a vacant oval cartouche draped with acanthus leaves and laurel wreaths. The reverse side is fully decorated with matching engine-turning, showcasing the exceptional craftsmanship typical of high-end Parisian silver of this era.

Maker’s mark of the renowned silversmith François-Auguste Boyer-Callot, who registered his mark in 1865 at 30 rue Sainte-Croix-de-la-Bretonnerie in Paris. Minerva mark indicating a silver fineness of .800. 

The maker's mark is crisp and clearly legible, and the piece remains monogram-free with a vacant cartouche.
