Original woodblock print triptych. Paper. Toyohara Yoshu Chikanobu (1838-1912) - Hatsuuma" (The First Day of the Horse) - From "Chiyoda no ōoku" (The Ladies of Chiyoda Palace) - Japan - 1896 (Meiji 29)

Original woodblock print.

Artist: Toyohara Yoshu Chikanobu (1838-1912)
Title: Hatsuuma" (The First Day of the Horse)
From the series: "Chiyoda no ōoku" (The Ladies of Chiyoda Palace)
Year: 1896 (Meiji 29)

Condition: supported with paper that is a bit stiff (increases its rigidity), trimmed, light dirt patina.
Luxurious finishes: black-brown toning (clothes, hat, etc.) bokashi shading.
