Description from the seller
WELSON KINTON 1960
A perfect Italian collectible piece, a unique sound for the studio and an unforgettable look for the stage, exclusive for you!
Beautiful guitar, well built and completely original and overhauled by me (I am a luthier). I only changed the bridge and the tremolo which were no longer reliable. The look is crazy, I have rarely owned guitars this beautiful, rock and sparkling. Now a bit of history…
Straight neck, functioning and original electronics, tuners that hold tuning and tremolo working.
Now a bit of history…
Orlando Quagliardi founded the Welson company in 1921 in Castelfidardo, Italy. Originally a harmonica manufacturer, Welson was one of the first Italian companies to manufacture guitars.
The first Welson guitars were archtop guitars very similar to the German archtops of the early 1950s.
In 1962-64 the first “Solid Body” (full body) Welsons were marketed.
Unlike some low-quality European brands, Welson positioned itself from the creation of these first Solid Bodies as one of the most serious manufacturers.
At the end of the 1960s, Welson was nicknamed the “Italian Gibson.”
Guitare Collection presents this splendid Welson Professional from the early 1960s with a very rare finish “Spaghetti.”
A guitar from the legendary manufacturer with a unique look, very light thanks to the Res'O'Glass (glass fiber and polyester) and very easy to play thanks to adjustments by my luthier.
A very simple electronics (not always present in Welson) that allows to obtain very specific sounds: very full with a nice depth.
