Description from the seller

Free shipping for the following countries: NL, FR, IT, DE, ES, BE, PT, AUS!!!

A 19th-century "Bois Noirci" jewelry box crafted during the French Napoleon III period around 1850-1870.
The jewelry box is constructed from poplar wood and veneered with blackened/ebonized pear veneer.
The jewelry box is decorated with brass in the form of inlaid filigree, quarter-round moulding and a refined engraved keyhole entry & cartouche on the lid.
Inside the lid there is a mirror framed with blackened quarter-round moulding. The remaining interior is lined with blue marbled paper, which, due to its fragility, shows wear, including signs of use.
The jewelry box still bears its original brass hinges, lock, and hasp with a working key. The jewelry case has a beautiful satin finish, which very nicely highlights the chic contrast of the black and the polished brass!

The photos, alongside the extensive description, are part of the description. If you have any questions before you bid, please contact the auctioneer/expert.

The object will be (FREE) carefully packed and shipped with insured shipping!!!
