Magerit - - Flamenco guitar - Spain

Guitar from the old and legendary Magerit guitar company. It is very hard to find a guitar from that house. It was located in Madrid, mainly linked to the Cuesta de Santo Domingo, during the 1950s and 1970s. Madrid was a hotbed of luthiers, with a lot of competition among themselves. Many guitars from this company were made by local craftsmen; others were distributed through this company. It is a great achievement to have found an instrument from this firm with such history.

The condition is very good, with some signs of use, all visible in the photos. On the back there is a small varnish lift, see photos; on the front top there are two cracks in the varnish, but nothing serious.

The sound is fabulous, flamenco yet versatile, bright and powerful, and comfortable to play because it is a flamenco guitar with its own flamenco tolerances.
