Description from the seller
Set of 3 Vintage Computer Media Storage Units - C64/VIC-20/Retro Computing - Cassette Drawer & 5.25" and Floppy Boxes.
This set of three storage units was the standard in the 1980s for keeping software collections organized for systems like the Commodore 64 and the Atari 8-bit family.
1x XL Cassette-Ladebox: A roomy beige drawer unit filled with various cassettes. In the drawer there are several computer-related tapes, including games and utilities (e.g. PD Magnetics, TDK, Philips). The drawer slides smoothly and the housing has the characteristic vintage patina.
1x Multiform Austria Floppy Box: A premium 5.25 inch diskette holder. Multiform was known for their sturdy office supplies. This box has a dark smoked-glass lid and a locking mechanism (without a key).
1x Datafile Floppy Box (Complete with keys): The iconic Datafile box that sat on many desks next to a Commodore 1541 disk drive. This unit is in excellent condition and is supplied including the original spare keys.
Condition: In good vintage condition with normal signs of wear appropriate to the age (light scratches on the plastic and slight discoloration of the beige housing).
Operation: All hinges and drawers function properly. The locks on the diskette boxes are intact.
The cassette box is delivered WITHOUT the pictured cassettes (to save weight and they still don’t work well anyway).
Specifications:
Material: Anti-static plastic / Acrylic.
Origin: Austria (Multiform) and Netherlands/UK (Datafile).
