Description from the seller
Framus 5/1-50 Amateur? – Vintage Parlor Guitar – Made in W. Germany – 1960s
For sale is a charming Framus vintage acoustic guitar from Bavaria / West Germany. Inside the body there is the original manufacturer’s label indicating “Built in the Heart of Bavaria” as well as “Framus-Werke Bavaria – Made in W. Germany.”
Based on construction, finish, and label, this is probably a Framus 5/1-50 Amateur or a very closely related model from the 1960s. The model designation is provided to the best of our knowledge, but without guarantee of the exact name.
The guitar impresses with its decorative vintage vibe, classic sunburst finish, distinctive Framus headstock, open-back tuners, zero fret, pickguard, and the small parlor/salon body shape typical of that era.
Approx. measurements:
Scale length: ca. 62.5 cm
Nut width: ca. 4.2 cm
Condition:
The guitar is offered as a restoration project, for reconstruction, as a decorative piece, or as a very good donor guitar for parts. The action is high, so technical work or setup is required. It is explicitly not sold as a ready-to-play instrument.
Age- and wear-related signs, scratches, lacquer marks and patina are present and emphasize the authentic character of this vintage instrument. Overall a moodful collectible with a beautiful aura.
Sold in the shown condition. The photos are part of the description.
