Description from the seller

Arnold Hoyer Archtop – Rare hybrid model with original Framus Flip-Up damper & Palm Tremolo (circa 1950s)

This beautiful Arnold Hoyer archtop from the 1950s is in very good, fully playable original condition. It is equipped with an original Framus Flip-Up damper and palm tremolo – an extremely rare combination that is hardly found today. The tremolo works flawlessly and enables a gentle vibrato effect controlled with the heel of the hand.

The body is solid, with no cracks, no repairs, and no sunken top. The guitar is fully functional, well set up, and easy to play, with a warm, clear archtop tone.

The tuners are original, smooth, and reliably hold intonation. The rosewood fretboard shows the typical block inlays with a red 12th fret marker, an unmistakable identifying feature of Arnold Hoyer guitars from this era. The finish is original and in very good condition, with no cracks or damage – only light, age-appropriate traces are visible.

This guitar combines the best of two German traditional manufacturers: the archtop body and neck by Arnold Hoyer with the innovative Framus hardware – consisting of the flip-up damper and palm tremolo system. A combination that is extremely rare and makes the instrument a unique collectible of German guitar craftsmanship.
