Description from the seller

Carsebridge 48 Years Old Diageo Special Releases 1970 is a rare single grain whisky from the long-gone Carsebridge distillery in the Scottish Lowlands. Carsebridge was one of Scotland’s largest grain distilleries at the end of the 19th century. It closed down in 1983, and was demolished in 1990. 2018 marks the distillery’s debut in Diageo’s highly anticipated annual Special Releases. The whisky was distilled in 1970 and matured for 48 years in refill American oak hogsheads. It was bottled at a natural cask strength of 43.2%, and saw a limited release of just 1000 bottles.
