Description from the seller

An impressive and authentic maritime mirror compass from the famous manufacturer N.V. Observator of Rotterdam. This type of compass was mounted on the bridge and read by the helmsman through an optical tube (periscope). Therefore the compass rose is rendered in reverse, i.e. mirrored.
This heavy liquid compass is a beautiful piece of Dutch industrial heritage and is in excellent vintage condition.
Made from heavy brass/brass and a gray-coated housing.
Dimensions: Outer ring diameter 29 cm. Compass diameter 23 cm.
Special features: Includes functional underlighting for a atmospheric effect in the dark. The rose turns smoothly and the liquid is clear.
Many photos have been added so that the condition of the compass and housing can be assessed. Also a few photos with lighting on underneath.
Photos are part of the description.

The compass will be well-packed, insured and registered shipping with a tracking code.
See my other listings as well and possibly save on shipping costs.
Not shipped to the United States.
