Description from the seller
For sale is a charming Framus vintage acoustic guitar from Bavaria / West Germany. Inside the body is the original manufacturer's label with the note “Built in the Heart of Bavaria” as well as “Framus-Werke Bavaria – Made in W. Germany”.
Based on construction, finish and label, it is likely a Framus 5/1-50 Amateur or a very closely related model from the 1960s. The model designation is given to the best of our knowledge, but with no guarantee of the exact name.
The guitar impresses with its decorative vintage look, classic sunburst finish, distinctive Framus headstock, open tuners, zero binding, pickguard, and the small parlor/salon body typical of that era.
Approx. dimensions:
Scale length: approx. 62.5 cm
Nut width: approx. 4.2 cm
Condition:
The guitar is offered as a restoration project, for rebuilding, as a decorative piece or as a very good donor for parts. The string action is high, so technical overhaul or setup is required. Sale is expressly not as an immediately playable instrument.
Age- and use-related marks, scratches, finish traces and patina are present and emphasize the authentic character of this vintage instrument. Overall a atmospheric collectible with a charming presence.
Sold as shown. The photos are part of the description.
