An exceptional single cask release from the legendary closed Karuizawa Distillery, this Karuizawa 1981 #6056 was bottled exclusively for The Whisky Exchange in 2013. Distilled in 1981 and matured in a 1st Fill Sherry Cask, the whisky was bottled at a powerful natural cask strength of 60.3% ABV, capturing the intense and deeply sherried character that made Karuizawa one of the most revered names in Japanese whisky history.
Produced during the distillery’s golden era, this release exemplifies Karuizawa’s unmistakable style — rich, concentrated, and uncompromisingly complex.
