Original Walker’s TRIDENT Electric Log by Thos. Walker & Son Ltd, Birmingham, England, dating to ca. 1940–1950, with a heavy brass housing and glass, overall length about 23 cm, housing diameter 16 cm and depth 7 cm, weight 5 kg, in good used condition with typical patina.

Originals Walker’s “TRIDENT” Electric Log by the renowned firm Thos. Walker & Son Ltd., Birmingham, England.
This is a historical nautical navigation instrument for measuring the distance covered at sea (nautical miles). Such instruments were used on merchant and seafaring ships and today are among the coveted collectibles of maritime technology history.
The instrument features an enamelled original dial with the inscription:

* Thos. Walker & Son Ltd.
* Birmingham, England
* Made in England
Inside there is the original mechanically-electrical counting mechanism with coil and gear system. The massive housing is made of heavy brass and shows the patina typical for its age.
