Description from the seller
Rare Vintage Guitare EKO 500 V2 (1960s) - Made in Italy
Description:
I am putting up for sale this magnificent Eko 500 V2 from the era, a true emblem of 1960s Italian design. This instrument is distinguished by its retro-futuristic look and its exceptional finishes.
Finish: Stunning "Sparkle" gold finish on the top and blue glitter on the back.
Pickguard: Original striated celluloid with raised Eko logo.
Switches: Button-press system typical of the brand (inspired by accordions).
Provenance: Original label "Couesnon Luthier à Mirecourt" on the headstock, attesting to its history of importation in France.
Manufacturing: "Made in Italy" engraved on the back of the headstock.
Condition of the instrument:
Aesthetic: Superb condition for its age. The varnish and glitter have retained all their shine.
Lutherie: The neck is straight, the frets are in good condition and the instrument is very pleasant to play.
Electronics: Note, the bridge pickup requires a small revision (output/contact issue). The neck pickup and the selector system work perfectly.
This is a rare opportunity for a collector or an enthusiast of vintage "surf rock" and "garage" sounds seeking an instrument with a strong personality.
