AI-assisted summary

Description from the seller

Beautiful anonymous engraving, contemporary and in the same direction as Jacques Callot's original, from a set of two depicting views of Paris along the course of the Seine. At the bottom right "Callot fec." An example with extremely small margins, on laid paper, in excellent condition, the inking a little light (see photo). View of Paris, with a water carousel taking place on the Seine at the foot of the Tour de Nesle, in the foreground in the center; Pont-Neuf in the background, to the left. This plate was made on the basis of a drawing probably executed during the artist's stay in Paris in 1629. Probably Callot etched the two plates after his return to Nancy, in 1630. MeauMe 714; Lieure 668.
