Description from the seller
Timex Datalink - Microsoft from the 1990s. Model 150
The Datalink line was introduced to the market in 1994 and was developed in partnership with Microsoft as a wearable alternative to mainstream PDA devices, with additional attributes such as water resistance, which PDA devices lacked, and easy programmability.[5] The watch was demonstrated by Bill Gates on June 21, 1994, during a presentation, downloading information from a computer monitor using light strips, and then showing the audience the retrieved meetings and other data. Early models included the 50, 70, 150, and the 150 (small size) model. The model numbers indicated the approximate number of phone numbers that could be stored in the watch’s memory. These early models were, at the time of their release, the only watches bearing the Microsoft logo. The watches were certified by NASA for space travel and were used by astronauts and cosmonauts on space missions.
