The Nokia 7710 is a smartphone produced by the Finnish company Nokia and released to market in 2004. It is the first touchscreen launched on the market by Nokia. Given the peculiarity of this model (large screen, no keys, touchscreen and with the possibility of inserting an external memory card), Nokia's Italian subsidiary decided to conduct creative brainstorming to identify a use for this mobile phone that was "totally innovative". It was therefore marketed together with a card containing maps of Italy and with a satellite antenna, with which it communicated via Bluetooth technology, allowing the phone to identify the position where it was located. Thus the world's first satellite navigator in a mobile phone was born. The maps were provided by TomTom, a leading company in the production of portable navigators.
