Description from the seller
1995 BMW F 650
The 1995 BMW F 650 is a mid-displacement motorcycle produced by BMW Motorrad, belonging to the first generation of the “F” series, designed to broaden the brand’s range toward a younger audience and for more versatile use than the traditional R-series boxers. This model marks an important turning point in BMW’s construction philosophy, focusing on lightness, simplicity, and ease of riding.
The vehicle is equipped with a liquid-cooled, four-stroke single-cylinder engine of 652 cm³, with four-valve distribution and carburetor feeding. The engine, developed in collaboration with Rotax, is paired with a five-speed manual transmission and a chain final drive. Power delivery is linear and progressive, with good mid-range torque availability, a characteristic that makes it suitable for both urban use and medium-to-long distance travel.
The chassis is based on a steel twin-cradle frame that also serves as a load-bearing structure for the engine, designed to ensure structural solidity and stability. The suspension includes a front telescopic fork and a rear monoshock connected to a swinging arm. The braking system consists of single discs at the front and rear, ensuring effective and modulable braking.
From an aesthetic standpoint, the BMW F 650 features essential, functional lines, with a narrow fuel tank, a wide and comfortable seat, and an upright riding position. The design emphasizes ergonomics and practicality, making the bike particularly accessible even to less-experienced riders.
The 1995 BMW F 650 is considered a significant model in BMW Motorrad’s history, as it introduced a lighter and more versatile concept of motorcycle compared to the brand’s standards of the era. It is still appreciated for reliability, ease of maintenance, and its ability to adapt to multiple uses, from commuting to road touring and light off-road.

Catawiki always aims to offer you the best possible buying experience. Our experts virtually review and select every vehicle in line with our submission guidelines and we require our sellers to provide the most accurate description of the vehicle. However, providing a fully detailed analysis of the vehicle is extremely difficult, and close to impossible. To guide you, we ask our sellers to provide information about the vehicle’s condition. Please consider that most vehicles for sale are classic vehicles and they often already have a whole life behind them, meaning that even a condition 1 or 2 vehicle might need maintenance to be ready for the road. It is advised to carefully read our submission guidelines that further describe details about the condition grades and types to manage your expectations. Cars are sold “as is”, meaning as described and in the condition they are in at the time of the sale and without any representation, warranty or assumption of liability of any kind as to the condition by Catawiki or by the seller. The condition of this item is the opinion of the seller and may differ from yours, your local garage, or the dealer’s opinion. This does not automatically mean the car does not conform to its description. Before bidding, please check your local legislation regarding vehicle registration. Neither the seller nor Catawiki is responsible for the registration of the vehicle in your country and will not accept a cancellation for your failure to register the vehicle. We also recommend that, if possible, you arrange a viewing with the seller before placing a bid.
