Description from the seller

This is a pair of Japanese Kutani vases, probably produced in the second half of the 20th century (ca. 1900–20s) for the export market.
Features that indicate this:
- The ivory-colored ground with very finely hand-painted decoration.
- Rich use of red/orange and gold.
- Relief handles in the shape of lion heads (shishi).
- Typical Satsuma scenes with birds, flowers and figures in traditional clothing.
- The red hand-painted signature at the bottom.
