Description from the seller

Embodied with an ethereal and quietly sorrowful beauty, the 孫次郎(まごじろう / Magojirō—Young Woman)is a canonical Noh(能 / Nō)mask traditionally revered within the Kongō school(金剛流 / Kongō-ryū). Capturing the fleeting image of a departed spirit, the visage balances refined youth with a haunting melancholy, projecting a delicate emotional tension across the stage.

Dating to October 1995(平成7年 / Heisei 7), this wooden mask includes a bag and an inscribed storage box. Box texts note it was crafted by Kawamura Yoshiji(川村吉二)under the formal supervision of Iemoto(家元)Gagyū Ujisato(臥牛氏郷), head of the Gagyū-ryū(臥牛流)mask-carving lineage. It remains in good condition with signs of use.
