Offered for auction is an original Iomega ZIP 100 USB External Drive, manufactured in 1998.

Before USB flash drives became the standard for portable storage, the Iomega ZIP Drive revolutionised personal computing by offering a massive 100 MB of removable storage on a single ZIP disk—nearly seventy times the capacity of a standard 1.44 MB floppy disk.

The USB version quickly became a favourite among Apple Macintosh users, graphic designers, photographers and creative professionals. Thanks to its plug-and-play USB interface, it offered a simple and reliable way to exchange large files and create backups during the late 1990s and early 2000s.

This drive has been tested and is fully functional.
