Description from the seller
Tasting notes for Dom Pérignon P2 2008
2008 stands out for its precise acidic structure, creamy texture, and generous, expansive profile. Candied lemon, bergamot, white peach, cocoa, and roasted coffee are just a few of the aromas supported by a silky freshness, subtly underscored by a hint of iodine.
It reflects the vibrancy and structure of an exceptional vintage.
Serving and storage
Serve between 10 and 12°C.
The Vintage
While spring and summer were marked by relatively cool temperatures and overcast skies, intense sunshine in September and persistent north/northeast winds fostered splendid grape ripening.
The Vineyard
Dom Pérignon is produced exclusively from grapes grown in Champagne’s finest terroirs. The vines are tended with the utmost care and cultivated sustainably, ensuring exemplary grape quality.
Grape Varieties
Chardonnay and Pinot Noir
Dom Pérignon Champagne pays tribute to Dom Pierre Pérignon, the renowned monk from the Abbey of Hautvillers who was appointed cellar master in 1668. For nearly fifty years, he passionately dedicated himself to creating what he called "the best wine in the world." Today, the House continues this pursuit of excellence and harmony under the guidance of Vincent Chaperon, Chef de Caves since 2019.
