It depicts two elegant red-crowned cranes (Tancho) engaged in a courtship dance over stylized golden water streams. The feathers are intricately rendered with subtle gradations of silver and charcoal tones.Perfectly centered above the cranes is the sacred 16-petal Imperial Chrysanthemum Crest (Kiku-mon / 菊の御紋), rendered in immaculate flat gold lacquer, symbolizing the highest honor in Japan.
