Canon CB-8 Financial Calculator, Japan, 1983 The Canon CB-8 is a Japanese financial and business calculator introduced in 1983. Designed for personal banking and account management, it features an eight-digit LCD display, dedicated financial functions and a distinctive early-1980s design. This example is in exceptionally well-preserved, apparently unused condition. It is marked Canon CB-8 Made in Japan and bears serial number 185062. The calculator operates from a single 3V lithium battery. A new battery has been installed. Its dedicated functions include separate keys for checking, charges and payments, balance recall for three accounts, deposits and Grand Total. The A-F key switches between Add-Mode and Floating-Mode. Condition The calculator is in excellent cosmetic condition, with no significant signs of previous use visible in the photographs. The LCD display and all keys were tested and function correctly. Included in the lot The lot includes the Canon CB-8 calculator, its original red protective leather pouch, the original multilingual instruction manual and a transparent holder for five cards. The manual is preserved in very good condition with minor age-related storage marks. The calculator measures approximately 150 × 70 × 8 mm, while the complete calculator and pouch measure approximately 200 × 120 × 10 mm.
