Mario Novelli - Concerto - - Classical guitar - Italy - 1987

I present this masterpiece of Italian luthiery, in excellent condition. Handcrafted and signed with a handwritten autograph and year of construction.
This classical guitar is entirely built in the historic artisan workshop in Cusignana in 1987. Novelli handmade also the tuners and every single part of his guitars, except the strings!

Wood of the highest quality:
Rosewood for the back, the sides, the headstock and the bridge, red cedar for the soundboard, cedrela for the neck and the headstock, ebony for the fretboard.
The beautiful rosette and the inlays on the headstock cover are of original artisan craftsmanship and complete this instrument, which is an expression of the finest workmanship of those times in Italy.

The sound confirms the expectations, revealing itself deep, aggressive and of great intensity, with a clear and crystalline note. A guitar that has nothing to envy from the most renowned guitars made in Italy.

The measurements are: 660 - 53 - 3,5/4.

The guitar presents in truly excellent condition, especially considering its age, with a sound of the highest quality in every register.
It has been used and played with great respect and indeed there are no signs of fingernail marks on the soundboard in the typical areas. I note only a small scratch on the lower part of the top, clumsily “repaired” by a previous owner, and slight defects to the lacquer of shellac on the edge of the back. All as documented in the photos.
This instrument is aimed at professional guitarists or enthusiasts of Italian artisanal luthiery and collectors, as it represents truly a milestone in high-end production.
It is shipped with a hard case (the photo is indicative) and padded insured professional packaging.
